Iwasaki had a presentation at the symposium for junior and senior high school students and the general public “Possibility of science that opens up the future: the power of iPS cell researchers to fulfill their dreams”.

Thank you for giving me a very valuable experience because there are not many opportunities to make a presentation in front of 700 people. I was very happy and enjoyed to have a presentation. After the lecture, I had the opportunity to talk with some junior and senior high school students and parents, and I was glad to hear that the lecture was very interesting. I will continue to do my best.

The day before, I participated in CiRA Science Cafe @ Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, and discussed ethical issues related to genome editing. I had a good experience that there was not always a logical reason and it was difficult to convey the facts accurately.

Iwasaki likes NHK Radio 1, and the my favorite NHK announcer came to the symposium. I was so happy to listen to his good voices. He was so cool, and was so talented at work. It was my first time in Fukushima, but I thought it was a good place in Tohoku because the food was so delicious.
